Roberto is a full professor in the Department of Animal and Plant Biology and Ecology at the University of Jaén (Spain). His research focuses on Agroecology, Soil and Environmental Science, and Ecology. He is currently recognized as one of the leading international authorities on olive grove sustainability. He has been actively involved in numerous international projects focused on olive grove sustainability and the ecological transition of the agricultural sector. Notably, he served as coordinator of the SUSTAINOLIVE project, which is widely regarded across the EU as a benchmark initiative in communication, knowledge transfer, and the training of olive growers in agroecological practices.
